Rarely in design does something so useful also look so stylish, but sunglasses do it all. Promotional Sunglasses in Case

So Who Invented Promotional Sunnies?

Well, protective eyewear has been around for thousands of years. The Inuit people who inhabit the Alaskan and Canadian arctic wore flattened walrus ivory with holes to see through across their eyes to protect from slow blindness in prehistoric times.

And by the 12th century, there is evidence of quartz being used to protect eyes from glare in China.

But What About Modern Sunglasses?

British chemist and physicist Sir William Crookes created a 100% ultraviolet and 90% infrared blocking lens in 1913. Then in the roaring 1920s movie stars adopted sunglasses as a fashion accessory and they became hugely popular.

Sam Foster founded Foster Grant – an American eyewear company – in 1919, and brought the first mass-produced plastic sunglasses to market in the late 1920s. He became very successful, selling them on the beaches of Atlantic City on the east coast of the USA.

The Science of Custom Eyewear

Sunglasses keep your eyes safe by blocking harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. A protective coating on the lenses prevents UVA and UVB rays from penetrating into your eyes. We offer a huge range of promotional sunglasses that can be customised to your chosen design. Yep, somehow we’ve managed to make sunglasses look even better.
